November 20, 2000 We will have
the online store open for business by the end of January. We have
decided on a safe secure shopping cart software that works with active
server pages. This will allow us to add new products and update
specifications quickly.
November 15, 2000 OVIS will be
coming out with a new catalog soon. We are still in the development
stages, but with a new method of compiling all our product information, we
will be able to update them rapidly in the future. Please be

Seven Systems
Minneapolis, MN, USA, Mereen-Johnson Machine Company
headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has acquired majority interest of
Group Seven Systems of Hudson, North Carolina. Mereen-Johnson
manufactures Double End Tenoners, CNC Dovetail Machines, Panel Sizing
Systems, Straight Line Multiple Rip Saws, and Mereen-Johnson
"Select-A-Rip" Series of Chain Feed and Roll Feed Multiple Rip
Saws. Group Seven Systems manufactures material handling systems and
the "DYSYS" computerized vision lumber optimization system.

introduces Model #312-DC/SR "Select-A-Rip" Straight Line
Multiple Rip Saw at IWF 2000 Mereen-Johnson Machine Company introduces
our latest "Select-A-Rip" Straight Line Multiple Rip Saw. The
"Select-A-Rip" machine features one outboard shifting saw
assembly combined with a gang saw sleeve for simplicity of operation and
versatility in single pass gang ripping of random width lumber. The
"Select" saw blade is controlled by an infeed mounted operator
interface console. The operator enters the desired rip via the keyboard or
simply jogs the "Select" saw to the desired location,
referencing to a unit-mounted laser light. Additional laser lights are
provided for each saw blade on the gang sleeve. Mereen-Johnson's new
HYDRO SLEEVE requires no spacers between saw blades. Available as
an option, the operator simply moves the saw blades to position,
pressurizes the sleeve, and repositions the laser lights with the new
innovative LASER TRACK mounting system and you are ready to MULTIPLE
RIP LUMBER!
