Shelf Supports
Whether they are used for storage, displays, or accents, shelves need to be both sturdy and appealing. Shelf supports play an important role in both the function and design of any type of shelving and should be chosen carefully.
Choose from nickel-plated, brass-plated, and antique brass supports to create the style you want. The diameter of the pin hole is also important, as a 5 mm hole is generally neater and less visible than a 1/4-inch hole. Our bracket style shelf supports are available in either size.
Functionality is just as important as the aesthetics of shelf supports. For shelves carrying heavy loads, the "L" shaped bracket-style shelf support can't vibrate loose and is more appropriate than a spoon-style. The bracket style design allows for a screw to fasten the support to the shelf and provides added stability and safety during an earthquake and prevent the shelf from being adjusted willy-nilly. Spoon style shelf supports are also available for a smaller, more discrete finish.
