* NEW * The Slideone 36 inch Locking full extension heavy duty drawer slides are for high loads, up to 500 lb. capacity. Black powder coated cold rolled steel provides a sleek look and resists corrosion. The ball spacers are made of noise-absorbing plastic with hardened steel ball bearing for quiet running.
The 3 foot drawer runner is not removable, this is standard in all 500 lb. class slides. The slide and ball race form a single non-detachable unit. You will need to unscrew the drawer from the runner to remove the drawer box. The reason for this is SAFETY. With 3 feet of travel to its fully extended 80" length, the weight of the loaded drawer achieves a great deal of momentum and must come to an abrupt stop. A lever release would need to be massive and would be expensive and hard to fit into the slide mechanism.
For mobile applications like service trucks, RV's, conversion vans, this locking slide is ideal. The locking slides will hold the drawer closed while the vehicle is moving and keep the drawer open while parked on uneven ground. Note that mobile applications are very hard on any drawer slide. While moving the vehicle is putting vibration through the slides and creating wear points where the ball bearings contact the runners.
3/4" Installation Width - 3" Height. Cabinet member requires #10 Flat head countersunk screw. Drawer member requires #10 pan head screw. Screw length will vary depending on application. Use all screw holes to achieve full load rating.
